The Architectural League First Friday: Architecture Research Office
First Friday events invite Architecture League members to explore ARO's Downtown Brooklyn studio and view current projects during an informal evening gathering.
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Date: 6 December 2024
Join Architecture League members at Architecture Research Office’s Brooklyn studio for a behind-the-scenes look at their innovative practice. During this informal First Friday gathering, partners Stephen Cassell, Kim Yao, and Adam Yarinsky will share insights into their current projects, including New York City’s first Passive House public school and the Rothko Chapel campus renewal.
ARO, recipient of the 2020 AIA Firm Award, will showcase their sustainable design approach and research-driven methodology. Attendees will have the opportunity to view ongoing work, explore the firm’s creative workspace, and engage with the team that has shaped notable projects like Milgard Hall at University of Washington Tacoma and Dia Chelsea. The evening offers a unique opportunity to understand how this leading practice approaches complex architectural challenges.
In-person First Friday events are open only to current Architectural League members. Each event has a limited capacity, and space is not guaranteed.
