MPavilion: Season 11
Location: Melbourne
Date: 21 November 2024 – 22 March 2025
Running until March 2025, Australia’s landmark design and architecture festival makes Queen Victoria Gardens in Melbourne its epicentre, drawing in over 1 million curious minds. This year’s program highlights include a talk and installation by architect Milica Božić and a 15-minute urban exploration challenge hosted by Su Lim, (FreeState), Rose Chong (Rose Chong’s Costume Shop) and Matt Lawson (A Time & Place Agency).

Melbourne Design Week
Location: Melbourne
Dates: 15 – 25 May, 2025
We’re eagerly awaiting Melbourne Design Week in 2025. Held over ten days in May, this vibrant event brings together designers, architects, artists and thinkers to showcase cutting-edge work and discourse around the future of design. Featuring a diverse program of exhibitions, talks, workshops, and tours, MDW explores everything from sustainable design to the latest in digital tech. Expect plenty of opportunities to be inspired and engage with Melbourne’s thriving design community.

Australian Architecture Conference

Sydney Build Expo

Design Show & ArchiBuild Expo
One of the highlights on the calendar of interior designers, buyers and products professionals, Design Show heads to Melbourne in June.
Featuring three stages of talks and trade exhibits, the program also includes recognition of emerging designers with Australia’s Next Top Designers Award.

Decor + Design Show
Location: Melbourne
Dates: July 16 – 18 2025
Having passed the 20-year mark last year, Decor + Design is an annual staple for interior designers, decorators, architects and retailers. Taking place in July 2025, more than 10,000 visitors are expected to partake in three days of talks and exhibits highlighting the future of Australian design.

Design Speaks
Location: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane
Dates: Feb 20 – Nov 28 2025
This multi-city event series dives into unique themes across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane throughout the year. Architects and designers join in on thought-provoking discussions and keynote talks on architecture’s influence on the community. In August, the State Library of New South Wales will host The Architecture Symposium – and it’s best to get your tickets early!

Architectural Science Association Conference

Date: 26 – 29 Nov 2025
Focusing on the academic side of architecture, the ASA annual conference explores research into the interplay of architecture, building science and urban design. Expect to discover new ideas and practices related to sustainable building and design, including the application of tech and data.
