RIBA Stirling Prize

Entries are now open for the 2025 Stirling Prize programme, the centrepiece of RIBA’s annual awards series that will culminate in an October finale in London. Last year’s winner, the Elizabeth Line, recognised the multidisciplinary triumph of Grimshaw, Maynard, Equation and AtkinsRéalis, who collaborated on the project.

The Workspace Design Show is happening on 26–27 February 2025 at London’s Business Design Centre. Featuring over 120 speakers and a range of thought-provoking programmes, it’s a must-attend for anyone in workspace interiors.

Surface Design Show

Materials artists, experts and enthusiasts unite! The annual Surface Design Show takes place in early February 2025, exploring surface material innovation in all its forms. The SDS is also hosting awards to celebrate the best in materials, design and architecture in public and private spaces.

Future Build

Location: London
Date: 3 – 6 March 2025

The long-running festival devoted to smart and sustainable design, Future Build comes to London in March. With more than 18,000 visitors last year, the 2025 event is likely to draw in similar crowds. The National Retrofit Conference will run alongside it, a forum for discussion about challenges and opportunities in the retrofitting space.

Clerkenwell Design Week

New Designers

Celebrating its 40th anniversary in July, New Designers champions the best of the UK’s emerging designers. Over two weeks, more than 3,000 graduate designers from over 200 universities will present their work to the public at London’s Business Design Centre. Spanning a range of disciplines, from fashion, textiles and furniture to product design, illustration (and more), the event draws in buyers, talent spotters and design enthusiasts alike.

Architect of the Year Awards – Building Design

Every October, Building Design honours architectural excellence in all corners of the profession, from private, social and industrial to retail and more. Last year’s coveted Gold Award went to Feilden Clegg Bradley, whilst Sir Donald Insall was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his extraordinary contributions to architecture.
