The event features a conversation with Mabel O. Wilson, Columbia University professor and architectural scholar, followed by an audience Q&A. Wilson, co-curator of MoMA’s Reconstructions: Architecture and Blackness in America, will moderate the discussion.

Weems, a MacArthur Fellow and recipient of the National Medal of Arts, has exhibited internationally and is represented in major museum collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Tate Modern.

Hosted by The Architectural League and The Cooper Union’s Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, this lecture is endowed by Wendy Evans Joseph and supported by New York City and State cultural funds.
