Senior Hospitality Interior Designer needed for Hermosa Beach firm
About this role
A boutique Hospitality firm is looking for a Senior Interior Designer with a strength in FF&E to lead Hotel projects. Ideal candidate MUST have experience working in Hotel Design for 5+ years and must also have experience in a leadership position! Firm is on an in-office schedule and located in Hermosa Beach. Ideal candidate will live less than 30 minutes away.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the Principal and lead the FF&E side of all projects.
- Lead a team of 3 younger designers and collaborate with the Senior IA.
- Create furniture layout, matricies, coordinate specs, assemble spec binders/packages/schedules, create custom furniture, monitor procurement/ordering
- Mentor and redline the junior designers' work
- Nuture client relationships
- Produce deliverables including client presentations efficiently
- Work to meet project deadlines and keep them within budget
- Role is part design and part project management.
- This is a small team, so the ability to wear multiple hats and juggle multiple projects is critical
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor or master's degree in interior design/interior architecture.
- 7+ years of related experience within Hospitality Interior design.
- MUST be able to draft in AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Designsmart, Bluebeam and Powerpoint
- Within a 30 minute commute to Hermosa Beach
- Ability to work an in-office schedule Monday-Friday, hours 9-6pm.
