A unique opportunity to join one of Australia's premium textile suppliers. This company have an enviable portfolio of designer brands and are very highly regarded in the industry.

Join their team as the new Purchasing Administrator to build, grow and support the brand. Use your experience in the textile or design industry to oversee all purchasing and ordering functions from customer service to warehousing.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely communication with the customer service team to complete sales and quotes
  • Oversee the daily order entries and check for accuracy
  • Action and follow up all order confirmations and ensure they are communicated to the warehousing team for dispatch
  • Understand all warehousing procedures and assist with daily tasks as required 
  • Arrange and manage all freight requests
  • Raise purchase orders for stock, samples and bespoke orders
  • Manage all incoming product shipments including coordinating with suppliers, freight companies and customs office
  • Process invoices from suppliers and freight companies, ensuring correct pricing
  • Oversee and notify of low stock allocations including backorders, extended lead time products and delays
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive and efficient outcomes
Skills and experience
  • Previous experience in an operation or purchasing role, with understanding of stock and inventory procurement
  • Knowledge or previous experience working in the design industry with a related product supplier highly regarded
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Following his move to Sydney, Alex helped design and supply luxury bathrooms before joining the Bespoke team to recruit salespeople, business developers, marketers and support staff across the Sydney and Brisbane architectural & interior product markets.
