About this role


This is a newly created role for a global architecture stdio based int he heart of London. As their Head of Bids you will have the opportunity to  provide strategic leadership for the bids function with direct responsibility for bid responses local and international.  With scope to grow a team around you this is rare opportunity to take on a pivotal role and really contribute to the long term growth and success of this studio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold senior responsibility for bid management for the group
  • Research, track and guide responses to bids including RFQs, EOIs and other invited responses/ business opportunities
  • Work with Business Development function identifying opportunities in line with the Business Strategy
  • Contribute advanced knowledge of likely forthcoming opportunities based on industry experience and contact
  • Work with selected account leads across the group to manage key accounts.
  • Relay opportunities to the Senior Management team, advising on opportunities, win strategy and Go/No Go protocol
  • Establish and implement a project delivery plan for each bid
  • Manage reporting of bid progress
  • Lead on the creation and maintenance of Bid Assets including qualifications, CVs, policy statements and statutory documentation
  • Contribute to non-financial reporting information for company reporting and external profiling purposes
Skills and experience
  • Extensive track record in the delivery of bids for architecture/construction or related industries
  • Sound knowledge of the UK development and construction industry (additional international experience desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a bid team to meet deadline
  • Understanding of asset manipulation and layout processes to lead bid production
  • Software skills to access CRM, and other appropriate design and administrative tools
