About this role
A top-tier national studio is seeking a talented Senior Interior Designer to join the team in an integral role within the practice. The successful candidate will be working on some of Queensland's most exciting projects and will have a proven track record in taking quality interior design projects from concept through to completion. This is an integral role where you will be responsible for liaising with clients and suppliers, as well as contribute to the mentoring of a team and reporting directly to the Studio Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and develop conceptual design schemes across a diverse portfolio of work
- Collaborate with architectural team and national design leadership
- Communicate well with client, builder and suppliers
- Produce required drawings, documentation and schedules, overseeing one or two juniors at times.
Skills and Experience
- Operating at a level of 8+ years experience, ideally across multi-residential, hospitality, hotel, retail, and workplace projects
- Strong project leadership qualities, ability to gain trust and confidence with clients
- Good eye for design and detailing
- Good connection with local suppliers
- Able to liaise with builders and discuss finishes, particularly through value engineering
- Experience working in a sophisticated Revit and SketchUp environment
- Strong communication and ability to coordinate
