A well-established, award-winning NYC studio is looking to appoint a capable and ambitious Project Architect to join the team for a large-scale public project in NYC.
Key responsibilities:
- Work in a project team in development of the aesthetic and technical design. The preparation of architectural design and construction documents including drawings and specifications. Coordinate work with consultants and manage change process. Client engagement. Develop technical aspects of the design of a project. Management and mentorship of junior staff.
Skills and experience:
- Bachelor or master degree in architecture. Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience. Natural design sensibility. Strong communication skills, articulate, graphic, organization, technical verbal and written skills. Proficient with computer-assisted design software such as Revit. Proficient with Adobe Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator, In-design; and 3D software such as Sketchup are a plus. Deep understanding of local building code.
