Landscape Design Manager

Excellent opportunity for a Landscape Architect to be involved in a significant government and client environment and contribute to the future of Sydney.  This team has a reputation for delivering award winning landscapes, protecting and enhancing open space, promoting design excellence, delivering new transport options and championing sustainability. You will be a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Architect with the ability to articulate well considered design and engage with clients and design teams. Join initially on a 12 month contract basis, to commence as soon as possible, with potential to transition to permanent. 

Key responsibilities

• The design and management of landscape projects across all project phases
• Develop project briefs, engage and manage external design consultants to develop and document projects
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, the design team and delivery team on design and delivery solutions
• Driving innovation and design quality on projects, whilst challenging project teams to obtain ‘best value’ throughout the project lifecycle

Skills and experience

• Operating at a level equivalent to 4-7+ years postgraduate experience 
• Significant experience in the design and delivery of complex public realm projects
• Great communication, collaboration and time management skills
• Portfolio demonstrating design excellence
• Ability to resolve problems, inspire design outcomes and establish design excellence
• Experience with tier-one design practice and/ or boutique residential projects is a good match
