Project Architect - Housing Projects, ArchiCAD

About this role

Join an emerging Sydney architecture studio working on Housing projects across all stages. They are seeking a talented and experienced Project Architect to join this tight knit team. The ideal candidate will excel in both design and documentation, with a strong proficiency in ArchiCAD. You will play a key role in managing projects from concept through to completion, ensuring that our designs are executed to the highest standards.
 

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects across stages, managing project timelines, budgets, and client communications
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and regulations
• Produce detailed documentation and ensure the delivery of high-quality work
• Collaborate and build strong rapport with clients, consultants, contractors, and team members
• Coordination with consultants and suppliers, integrating feedback in design 
• Oversee the preparation and submission of planning and building approvals
• Provide regular updates to project stakeholders and identify any risks with client, planning and design or changes in scope/ variations 
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and resolve issues
• Work independently and with initiative 

Skills and experience

• Relevant qualifications in Architecture 
• Operating at a level equal to 8+ years of local professional experience in architecture practice
• Solid understanding of architectural principles, local construction methods, and building codes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• A portfolio showcasing a range of completed projects, ideally on multi-Residential projects
• Advanced ArchiCAD skills
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
