Document Controller

This top tier, award winning, international design practice are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join their London Studio.

About this role


Our client is a group of over 700 architects, engineers, urbanists, inventors, researchers and business minds working from studios in the US, Europe and Asia. They work across as a diverse range of projects from urban playgrounds and Michelin-starred restaurants to affordable housing and education.  They are led by a group of outstanding Partners, Directors and Associates and operate a flat hierarchy with a collaborative approach.

They are looking for a diligent Document Controller to join their London studio. This role will be for a fixed-term period - approximately 18-24 months.  You will report to the Project Leader and will be responsible for ensuring that all project documents assigned for review are accurate and compliant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and optimise document control systems and processes, managing the distribution, retrieval, and archiving of documents.
  • Ensure documents are updated, reviewed, and approved
  • Conduct regular audits of documents
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure documentation meets project and organisational requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for document-related queries and issues.
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure document-related needs are addressed promptly.
  • Train staff on document management processes and systems as needed.
Skills and Experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum two years’ experience as a Document Controller or in a similar role.
  • Experience with document control systems (Aconex required).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
