Key Responsibilities:
- Project Initiation and Setup:
- Initiate projects, including setting up new project numbers in the ERP system, reviewing contracts and proposals, and organizing supporting documents.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial, project, and management reporting.
- Prepare internal financial reports and monitor budgets to actual costs, identifying and correcting variances.
- Conduct financial analysis to improve project accounting workflows.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Prepare, review, and maintain budget worksheets and plans.
- Manage quarterly and annual closings related to revenue recognition.
- Billing and Accounts Receivable:
- Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of client billing, including budget comparisons and backlog calculations.
- Generate monthly client invoices, calculating fees and reimbursable expenses.
- Expense Management:
- Approve consultant invoices for timely payments.
- Maintain and review unbilled expenses regularly.
- Project Review and Closeout:
- Conduct monthly project review meetings with the resourcing team.
- Ensure all contractual fees are billed and received during project closeout.
- Support and Compliance:
- Support the preparation of project data for external audits, insurance renewals, and surveys.
- Contribute to special organizational or operational projects as assigned.
- Assist in documenting and monitoring internal controls.
- Prepare general ledger journal entries, ensuring proper coding and accruals.
- Support quarterly and annual reviews by external accountants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Experience in professional services, particularly in architecture and engineering.
- Proficiency with Deltek Vision would be ideal
