Senior Heritage Architect - Registered

About this role

An exciting opportunity to join a global leader in heritage, adaptive re-use and public sector architecture. Play a pivotal role in project delivery and work on a wide range of projects - refurbishment or alterations/additions to existing/ heritage buildings: places of regeneration, infrastructure and public buildings across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Ability to work effectively and with focus, either individually or collaboratively
• Liaise with clients and consultants, prepare proposals/variation, lead a consultant team, support project procurement
• Provide heritage or design advice on existing or potential built form - review and apply planning, heritage or building controls
• Refine design and prepare project documentation from sketches, details, visualisations, modelling, technical specifications and schedules
• Coordinate packages with consultants and preparing tender and contract documents for clients, administrators, contractors or specialist trades
• Support on-site delivery

Skills and experience

• Strong knowledge of construction and building regulations including Australian Standards and BCA
• Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of conservation repair, refurbishment, alterations and additions, adaptive reuse 
• Strong Revit skills (ideal)
• Excellent communication skills, confidence and good client facing skills
• Experience in the preparation of proposals and bids 
• Demonstrated ability to complete projects to a high standard, on time and to budget
• Experienced in documentation, design development and detailing
• Proven ability to manage delivery of services and projects
• Strategic and conceptual thinker
• Commercial awareness / aptitude for business management
